"Sir Armstrong you have taught many with both word and, particularly action. Would you please honor us with some of your teachings."

Berrod Armstrong stepped forward; his stride brimmed with confidence and physical power -- and yet there was reverence and appreciation in the manner he regarded the crowd once he had come to a stop. "There are precious few left who walk the Destroyer's path," He began. All traces of his Ul'Dahn street brogue had evaporated, replaced by a clear Ala Mhigan accent. Formal speech for the occasion, likely. "So it gladdens me to see so many here today, even those who are just visitors, or curious."

The highlander didn't smile to demonstrate his words, but he pressed on nonetheless. "My people, my nation, were once conquerors. Aside from the wars and grudges of old, the lessons of the destroyer were a core part of our strength. Often is it whispered that those who worship a destroyer are doomed to destruction themselves -- but this is not so. We were destroyed because our leader strayed from Him."

"A man who could not destroy his doubts, as those who served him had long destroyed their own. A man who could not destroy his fear, as those around him had learned well enough to do. A man who could not destroy his selfishness, and refused to join hands with those who had torn down the barriers between them. A man who could not destroy his foolishness, as those at his counsel strove every day to do. So in the end, he destroyed himself, and our way of life."

J'maaira closes her eyes in quiet reverence and Tiergan nods.

Berrod paused for a moment to give those gathered a moment to process it all. When he spoke, his voice carried power -- not just the power of words, but...something else, something aetheric that radiated from his throat with enough intensity to carry what he said high above the stone walls in a nigh reverberating echo.

"None of us here are kings. We are mostly simply men and women, living and surviving in this realm. Yet it is no less important to hold the purpose of destruction in your hearts and let it guide you. Destroy your doubts! Destroy your fears! Destroy your selfishness; Destroy your greed. Destroy your hatreds! Harness destruction. Control it, direct it, and it is a force of improvement with equal only in the Builder."

"The old scriptures say that Rhalgr ceaselessly strikes at the Builder's great spire; but instead of reducing it to rubble, the lightning serves only to power it. We are, all of us, alike to that spire. Let His levin fall upon us and smite away all that holds us back; let it destroy the things that make us wretched and limited -- and in so doing, let us find power and strength in it."

Berrod paused again before offering a blessing by way of closing words. "Like His levin, I hope that my words have struck your minds and hearts. Walk in His light, and may He smite your foes -- including the ones within yourselves. Thank you."

"Well said!" "Exceptional."
