A very useful guide to catching up: https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comments/...avensward/ if it hasn't been mentioned, you can bypass server restrictions (if you're not willing to do the daily lottery of trying to find the sweet spot in the early morning when pop is low and they're lifted) by transferring a character in.
