Just hearing the news of another one of us, even if we're not in the same game, has passed away under these circumstances brings a deep sense of loss to me. I can only take solace in the fact I personally know a few in-game that have found support and understanding through FFXIV that they were lacking in their day to day life. It's a beautiful thing.
