A Friendly Date Auction!Â
Where: The Golden Bazaar (Eastern Thanalan 10,16)
When:Â 10/10/15 at 8PM BST/9PM CEST/12 PM PST/3PM EST and so on.Â
For how long: Depending on auctions, 2-4 hours or more.

We are having ourselves a date-auction, all in the name of fun roleplay and the effort to meet new shiny people. There will be two kinds of auctions:Â
Romantic dates & Friendly dates, so even if your character is not interested in romance, they can have the opportunity to make a new friend instead.Â
Food, drink and good company is guaranteed, we warmly welcome anyone who wishes to stop by.Â
As a new twist on this tried-and-trusted event format, we're keeping gil out of the equation - mostly. No real gil will be involved, first of all.Â
Instead, people interested in bidding will be asked to make a donation of a size that they feel is fitting, to The Sunny Futures fund managed by Jackal and Hide. In return for their donation, they will receive 100 tokens. These tokens can then be used to bid on as many auctions as they'd like - but when they're out of tokens, they wont be able to bid anymore.Â
Additionally we will be asking each person up for auction to set a secret maxium amount of tokens they would like to go for. There is a threshold they must pass, which will be informed of before they head up on stage. The first person to bid over the secret threshold will win the auction.Â
If two or more people bid 100 tokens on one person then the person being auctioned off will decide who they'd rather go with, so it is up to the individual if they would risk ending up in that situation!Â

We encourage everyone to pick up tokens, also people who are being auctioned off, we'll attempt to make sure there's plenty of people to bid on!Â
