With the FC thing, that is just a personal preference of mine. Might be good to say that the event "discourages" such practice, but it is not a full on ban for just the reasons you said. As well, heh. A friend pointed this out, where a FC-mate might step in to bid on a person as a means to "save" them. See a person bidding that you didn't think about before, as someone you just do not want to rp with. Bam, have a FC-mate bid to save you from the rp. So yeah, there are pro's and con's to both sides.
But I would love to see this event happen again! I always enjoy auctions, and use them as a means to meet new people. So please do it again!
