While I imagine some people do eat chocobo meat, I feel like it's done in areas where other sources of meat are hard to find. Like how in some foreign countries, horse is a potential choice of meat.
That said, with dodos, chickens, ducks and buzzards, I think most Spoken have enough poultry to satisfy their urges without turning their forks to their beloved chocobos.
