Just a rewrite of a posting to start a story to explain my character's immediate background and hopefully give somebody ideas of how my character could be used in any RP ideas you might have.
Sorry for the cut and paste irregularities.Â

The heavy wooden door swung open, the cloaked figure slipping in was silhouetted momentarily by flashing lightning from the storm outside.
"Father, what in the name of the Gods has happened?"asked the figure pulling back his water soaked hood.
"Levon, walk with me." Â Said a large man bathed in the firelight of the room.
"It took me more than an hour to get here. There is another curfew and patrols are doubled." Levon said nodding to the silent group of men huddled over steaming mugs by the fireplace.
"Tripled." Said Alvin Tostig as they crossed the room and disappeared down a hallway.
"What is it? What has happened?"Â Levon asked.
"We intercepted a courier trying to slip across the western border." Alvin spoke in hushed tones as they stepped in to his chamber. Closing the door he took his son by the elbow and walked him to the other side of the room.   "We only got him because he had tangled with some kind of creature and was near death when we....found him."
"The WESTERN border?".
Alvin nodded.
"What was he carrying?" Levon asked.
"Detailed information on the The Flames." Alvin replied gravely.
"The Flames?" Â Levon looked surprised.
"That's right. Â Names, numbers of guards, several of their posts and their changes." Alvin said.
"When did this happen?" Levon asked.
"A few hours ago but Aroa just cracked the code."Alvin replied. "But there is more. The missive made mention of information to follow on Limsa Lominsa as well as the Shroud."
"Are we sure about this? Was it Empire code?"Â
"Yes she is sure, it follows their cypher. Â It was an older version so this asset has not been in contact for awhile. Â Probably operating pretty deep. Â Levon the information he was going to deliver was not gleaned by simple observation. It had to come from the inside." Alvin said.
"That is why Ala Mhigo is so bottled up tonight." Levon replied clinching his teeth.
"Clearly they were expecting his arrival and they are not pleased that he is late. Â They are searching everywhere."Alvin replied looking toward the window.
Outside the storm raged, the flashing lightning mixing with the flickering candle light in the room. Â Shouting voices could be heard in the streets beyond the alleyway behind the house.
"What do you need me to do?" Levon asked, his eyes turning hard and cold.
Alvin picked up a torn and tattered satchel from the table.
"First thing you are going to do is get this back to the body. Â Hopefully those idiots have not found it yet. Â We have rewritten the information and recreated the seals." Alvin patted the satchel giving a noncommittal nod of his head. "As best we could in so little time."
"Where is the body?" Levon asked taking the satchel and slinging it over his shoulder.
"Just East of the Vourig spring." Alvin replied.
"I'll find it." Levon nodded. "Then what?"Â
"Then you are going to Ul'Dah.  Start there. You must discover the identities of the Imperial spies and the extent of their network.  If the Garleans get their claws in to the city states it will make freeing Ala Mhigo that much more difficult." Alvin said.
"I can't leave. What about the network here?" Levon said.
"Your brother will step in. He knows the ring." Alvin replied.
Levon sighed and shook his head. Â "I hate Ul'Dah." He said.
"You hate everything and everybody. Â That's what makes you a good spy." Alvin replied.
Father and son shared a grin in the flashing light.
Suddenly there was a loud pounding on the front door.
"You should probably leave now." Alvin said walking to the door and opening it.
The dark shapes of the men from the other room zoomed past the doorway to the back door.
Alvin and Levon joined them, Alvin taking his son's hand.
"Leave word at the western dead drop on your way out." Alvin said.
"Right." Levon said nodding to the other men. Â Flinging open the back door they all bolted out in different directions.
"Be careful son." Alvin said shaking his sons hand.
"You too father." Levon said before plunging in to the dark and stormy night.

I would really like to get in to some espionage flavored RP that is going on that would be willing to work in this angle somehow or if there is something like this going on please look me up. Â Levon Tostig will be operating in the city states as Otho Blackstone (my character name). Â Please feel free to enhance this idea if need be to get me included in what is going on. Â Thanx for reading this and hope to "see" you in the shadows. Â
Be careful.
