High altitude + near the sea = Chilly, wet, but no snow. Add to it the rocky nature of mountains and the way the clouds move about randomly switching the wet weather with harsh dry. I see a standard mountain/valley climate that has less to do with height, and more to do with what side of the mountain you are on.
