It's not hyperbole... a game is a rule system. If you change the rules of monopoly it's not monopoly anymore. If you change the core mechanics of a game, it's not the same game.Â
There's not really any wiggle room. This is a new game, that will have the story and characters of ffvii. But it won't be FFVII, which makes me sad, as I was hoping for an updated VII, with better graphics and new side quests and things. Not this.
I'm so glad we're in agreement that this is not the same game.
You might think it's a good thing, but I think it's a bad choice. I'll probably still play it, but it makes me sad.
