Word is that retainers will be able to do equipment repairs somehow, so if you want to RP a retainer as some kind of crafter alt rather than just a shopkeep or servant, looks like that might be an option for you. I'm wondering if this means you'll actually be able to raise crafts on retainers somehow or if they'll somehow use your main's skills.
