Conjury also borrows from the land (although doesn't seem to go tap directly into the planet itself), added to the fact that even the knowledge of black and white magic is probably limited to a handful of people that actually know about it, makes me think that if people still shun powerful magics is probably more due to common knowledge that powerful magic nearly destroyed the realm, and that's it.Â
