She admires Koporo and Chachan greatly. Her injuries were tended by a Lalafellian doctor in her FC. And she's a very outward-acting Roe. So if she can acknowledge the Lalafell for what they are, then anyone should. This really does seem to be a matter of needing to cultivate one's RP circle to weed out those who believe them to be children or are only looking for waifu pillows.
