Allagan pieces are a popular way of doing it because they vendor for a set price - But you should be aware that some people may try to sell these to you for way more than they are actually worth.Â
Other than that, check what items are valueable on the server you are headed to - In Balmung's case, because creation is shut 24/7 you'd need to have a friend tell you the prices. You may be able to buy some items on your current server that is worth as much or could potentially turn you a profit once the transfer is complete.Â
Also, do remember that you can transfer up to 8 characters in the same bout. They just all have to be 3 days (72 hours) old - So you may want to fill up your list before you pay up.Â
