I have a alt, Hihisa Hisa, who is a rich Ul'dahian heiress. I'm still trying to develop her, since it's surprisingly difficult to RP a snobby Monetarist nepotist. She does have a loyal servant and a retinue of weird things. She's also a minor villain-leaning character in two ongoing plots.
From what I understand, Ul'dah has a traditional nobility that favors the royal family, and those of the Syndicate, who buy their way into power.Â
Maybe we can talk in-game when she returns to Ul'dah. I use my main's mountain of gil and crafting to justify her lavishness OOC, although I don't have a house, since there are NONE available.
