I mean... look at how it appears in other games: Show Content FFV Show Content FFT Show Content FFXI Show Content FFX-2 It definitely looks like heavier armor in general, but it does have a bit of the Ronin-style look - especially with the female designs. Which is a bit like how the Dragoon outfits have looked over time as well, plus I think there's some flow-y looking DRG gear in FFXIV too. So it's possible to get both while still having that heavy armor look going! ... Or I could just be trying to further weasel in my belief that SAM will be heavy-armor DPS whenever it gets introduced.
