If you want a Raen who's more comfortable/adaptable with water? I see no reason why they can't be, and there's a variety of reasons/explanations you can use.
I figure it would be something that was trained and honed as well. The muscular tail given not only to genetics but years of swimming, an increased perception of underwater vibration and currents from spending a suitable amount of time to learn the subtle differences and feels.Â
It's something I'm very fascinated with. It seems totally doable to me but since lore is so thin I worry about becoming unrealistic!
I don't see why a Raen can't be just as skilled. Maybe they come from a fishing-oriented family and developed the same type of attributes through years of hard work--might even have a small home by the One River.Â
So go for it! Sounds like you're excited, and I don't see a single issue with it. Fishy Raen, go.
