Following last month’s largest intake since summer lastyear, we’d like to congratulate Drazi Rae, Klynk Wiltkoel, Subetei Noykin and Neyuki Utaura on successfully passing their probation and becoming full members of the crew!

As we entered the first turn of a new Moon, the Jackals were summoned to the aptly named “War Room†where they were faced with yet another choice to make, this time the means of securing a vessel for a long-standing business venture. Steal a ship from a known group of retired privateers, or infiltrate a noble’s ball and rob them blind without anyone being none the wiser. Naturally, the Jackals opted to rub elbows with those of a more privileged station and made ready to infiltrate the ball. The operation was a success, with the jackals making off with a considerable sum of valuables from the noble’s estate, all to be fenced off in order to provide the funds to secure a sea faring vessel of their own.

A sizeable number of Jackals took part in the Spell Breaker Tournament,in which wielders of Iron and fist duelled against wielders of Aether. The Mages met their defeat at the hands of the Mercenaries and both teams were tended to by the healers of the Matrons Reach network, who were standing by, ready to provide succor to those who needed it.

In the coming suns the Jackals found themselves taking on a contract to brave the unforgiving forestlands of the Black Shroud in order to protect a group of Conjurers as they went about purging a foul taint that was plaguing the area. Splitting into two parties, the Jackals found themselves being assailed by the enraged flora and fauna, drawn to the call of the Elementals. Though they had to be careful, for even felling a single beast could have resulted in drawing further ire from the forest. Both parties were able to fulfil the contract to the letter and protect the conjurers from the marauding beasts without spilling a single drop of blood, and thus the forests rage was quelled, for now at least.

Though the excitement did not end there, for the Jackals were once again called upon to salvage a derelict vessel, this time an Airship that had run aground in the region of Coerthas, specifically a crate of highly valuable Lumythrite ore. When the Jackals arrived they found the vessel in good condition, though the bitter cold was doing its best to make its claim on the downed airship. Though the battle with the elements, and the ships failing structural integrity soon became a race against the clock as the crew tried to locate their prize as an advancing blizzard threatened to roll in. The Jackals were able to locate the precious ore and retrieved the crate in which it was contained, with the barest of moments left in their window to depart.

We’ve been working hard to prepare for StormBlood’s release.Thanks to a group effort we were able to successfully complete building a grade 3 wheel stand for the FC house, as well as unlock the required schematics to create five grade 3 wheels of pilgrimage and confrontation in order to provide us with enough Heat of Battle III and Reduced Rates III to last five days into launch. Our very own Ryder Bailey took several of our members out on map runs to raise funds to refurbish the estate once 4.0 rolls over with the item limit increase and was able to successfully raise 2 million Gil at the end!

I want to thank all of our members for their hard work this past month. I think it’s safe to say that we’re more than ready to take on 4.0 once it’s released! A fair few of us are eagerly awaiting what Square Enix has in store for us, even more so in following the recent Letter from the Producer!
