Do you know if your browser is trying to force HTTPS? The RPC main site currently only operates on HTTP. If you need a private means of communication, a thread can been opened in Requests/Feedback or you can PM me directly. I just grabbed the current version of Opera now and it appears to be working fine. Are there any plugins you use for browsing or do you have any particular steps to replicate the issue?
