He's just a really nice dude and he looks out for anyone who's in trouble, even the beast tribes. He's such a good guy that even the criminals of the Shroud will band together pick up arms for him. My guy Buscarron is here living the dream, owning his own tavern and (presumably) living in it, too. He just wants to have a place where people can get a little peace and rest and have a nice time.
