Think the link above will do you some good for starters, and being as how you're on Balmung, I'd suggest visiting the Quicksand in Ul'dah and just watching people. It'll give you a basic idea of what it's all about and also give you the opportunity to cut your teeth in a PUG setting. Beyond that, you can toss up a Making Connections post here on the RPC to hit the ground running once you have a good idea for how you want to write your character and the niches they'd fit best in.Â
