Speaking from experience, any time any contractor does work near a fiber run, the backhoe inevitably tears the damn thing up (even if they're told to use shovels and be careful). Then another contractor has to come out and fusion splice it back together, which can take a good day. So, even if it hasn't happened yet, I hope it goes quick!  The old joke, "if you're ever lost in the woods and have a strand of fiber with you, bury it and wait for the backhoe to arrive" has some grains of truth in it.
