Howdy Gang!
I'm Skeptic, and after lurking for a couple of days while doing some research, I finally got the stones to introduce myself!
So, uh.
So, hey. How's it going? Nice weather, I mean, am I right?
Anyway.
First off (Or I guess third off) I've probably logged a full twenty minutes of game time on XIV, so I am an absolute scrub at game-play, and game knowledge.
However, I'm an avid fan of Final Fantasy in general, and have been Roleplaying off and on since about 2006.
My overall MMO experience is... mild. I've logged time in WoW (crazy, right?), Secret World, ESO, and most prominently (Heck, it was my introduction to Roleplay!): City of Heroes! (Any capers here? No? Okay, cool, just me then.) Suffice it to say, I've had pitiful time logged in MMOs, but I heavily invested myself into the Roleplaying communities, and understanding the lores of various games. So I might be a filthy scrub, but by golly I love to weave a wicked webby tale with folks.
As stated before, my Roleplaying experience (I swear I'm not using the template) is twelve years in the making, yet sadly limited. Most of my time spent Adult Pretending was solely in MMOs, but with a healthy sprinkling of Tabletop and Private Message RP.
Holdin' off on the specifics of character stuff while I get the feel for RP in this game.
I would consider myself to be a Medium-to-Heavy Roleplayer. My preference is on more light-hearted, casual roleplay with a focus on character development. I love Walk-Ups and am a horrible lover of Tavern BSing, so don't be afraid to barrel into me if I'm just diddle-farting around somewhere the kids drink and party.
But I'm a sucker for a solid story-focused session. Or set of sessions. Or three months of sessions. Be it planned OOC with some like-minded people, or a crazy in-the-moment buildup of DRAMA, ACTION, ROMANCE(maybe), AND THRILL that just comes from the natural flow of things. Depending on whom I'm with, I'm happy to bounce back and forth from simple, casual, dialogue focused chats, to thought-out and perhaps more lengthy sessions.
Basically I'm a fanatic who just enjoys the experience as a whole.
Though I'm not one for ERPin'. No judgement my freaky friends in leather and lovers of intimacy, just ain't my thing.
TLD Give A Toss: I'm a newb at the game, but I love to roleplay, and I'm in the process of studying the lore. (Holy Conniption I have so much to catch up on.)
