Seems like a bloody waste of opportunity to just throw in the white flag, when it was almost certain they were gonna kill 'im... Val takes another swig of the substance and looks over to Ryelle and nods curtly. "Pleasure ta' meet ya' miss." He shrugged at her words. "I won't lie... it's been a problem. But ey', it serves its uses. Ol' Croix here has me taste most of his food and drink in case of any assassination attempt." He smiles widely and rather stupidly. "Lucky for me, none of it has been poisoned yet... but don't tell him I'm swindlin him!" He says loudly smirking over at Croix.
