About Us (IC)
The Crimson Blades is an underground association of people who have come together to find rare artifacts for their own personal reasons. some want money, some want fame, some actually have noble purposes, but whatever the reason, those who followed the clues to this little club lead secret lives where they're digging through dirt for hours in hopes of finding something of value. While innocent sounding, they are not above grave robbing, house robbing, or.. any kind of robbing, really, pirating, scamming, pushing people off cliffs (that's only happened twice on record), spelunking, going into creepy haunted mansions with their scaredy-cat great dane, and other such activities. The guild gets their name from the most valuable of artifacts, The Crimson Blade, though no one actually knows what it is.

The Crimson Blades has been around for 8 years under two names, The Crimson Pirates and the Night Blades. The Crimson Pirates was an RP linkshell on the Quetz server that last around 6-7 years, I only lasted 3 years, however and moved onto WoW, where we created the NightBlades, a progressionist/RP guild on Boulderfist, then on Emerald Dream. That lasted around 3 years before we moved onto Aion, where we created the final version of the Night Blades. As the game was... well.. crap, it last 6 months, and most of us decided to move to FFXIV. We are an old guild, experienced with RP and Endgame, and being in our guilds usually means a stable environment for people to hang out.

We are a light-casual RP Guild, who's guild chat is always OOC. As we also focus on doing stuff such as endgame and dungeons, we find it easier to keep guild chat OOC. However, you will not find a more dedicated group of RPers, even if we're not in character all the time. We attend events, hang out in Taverns, have our own storylines, RP with other guilds on a regular basis, and generally have a good reputation in RP communities. We don't take ourselves too seriously, though we do have our share of loldrama RP stories, and we have learned to laugh at our characters (And each others!) on a regular basis. Light RP guilds have a somewhat bad rap in RP communities and we intend to prove them wrong Tongue

Application criteria:
Ehh...... it varies... >.> The two main things are that you don't break lore and have a thick skin. We make fun of each other on a pretty regular basis, and make fun of each others' characters more. We like to have fun and we LOVE to laugh.

Recruiting:
We don't recruit in conventional ways. Being an already large guild, we stalk forums looking for people who would fit in with us OOCly, as ICly we don't expect characters to get along in the setting we provided. We will probably come to you. And if you come to us, then we apologize in advance for being so weird XD. Because of this recruitment is usually slow (We have, as of Mid-August only recruited 4 new people, but now we have over 20 in Sept), but worth it as everyone feels like part of the group.

) and OOC things like Dungeon crawls.
