I'm pretty sure the only memories that are wiped are those directly related with the WoL's presence at the battle. Memories of the WoL's live in regard to anything else should be intact.
That way, no one knows of anyone's involvment in the battle, yet no one suddenly loses memory of a friend or relative completely (cause that would be very suspicious).
Either way, my main miqo'te won't have been there.
