I agree with everything you said, but this caught my eye the most somehow.
I love Black Panther. I think he was discussed earlier in the thread but I want to stress how much I like the character. He doesn't get a lot of screen time usually, but I think that's one of the reasons I like him. He shows up when he's needed but he doesn't hog the comic. He knows what's important and what isn't.
While I personally feel that he and Storm's marriage was somewhat forced (Hey! We've got two popular, powerful, single black characters, let's put them together!), I did enjoy their reign (as it were) as one of Marvel's power couples. More than anything, I like that Black Panther (same with Cage actually) is a character who has been steadily getting more of a following as people realize 'hey, this is a really solid character who has earned a place on the A list'.
