As Gilgamesh and Balmung aren't official RP servers, you can just bring him along and he won't have to RP. I know there's a few Linkshells/F.C.'s on Balmung that focus on endgame stuff. If he's interested in learning about RPing, you can always have him spectate scenes/events/whatever, but you don't have to be an RPer to have fun on either server.
