
First of all, excellent post Teardrop. Â You've certainly done your homework when it comes to this topic. Â I can only shed a little light on your questions, though.
1. The only tidbit that SE gives us is 'the founding of Gridania.' Â It's my belief, through browsing older sites and various wordings of the same paragraph, that the two clans split when the realm's governments were first being founded. Â I don't know more than that.
2. I'm assuming it's the blurb that was from back in 1.0, when they were referred to as Shaders and Foresters, respectively. Â If I'm reading the whole paragraph correctly, and from what they kept going into 2.0, the Duskwight despise the shackles of urban life. Â So they could see the Wildwoods as traitors due to adapting to urban life and coexisting with Hyur.
Keep in mind a lot of this information is outdated ( The 1.0 reference being a good one, ) so there may be retcons or conflicting info.
