Part 2: Growing Up
15. How would you describe your childhood in general?
Shitty. I got over it though.
16. What is your earliest memory?
*Scrunches his brow* I don’t think I can remember that far back, to be quite honest.
17. How much schooling have you had?
Had no time or money for formal schooling. If I’d had it, probably wouldn’t have ended up aboard ship as a boy now, would I?
18. Did you enjoy school?
Would have had to go, to enjoy it.
19. Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities?
Taught myself most of what I know. Watching others usually helps. My first cap’n did try to teach me letters. Didn’t take then though. He was a pretty lousy teacher.
20. While growing up, did you have any role models? Â If so, describe them.
None to speak of, cept fer myself of course.
21. While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family?
*shrugs* Got along alright with my father, I suppose. We never talked too much.
22. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I think I wanted to be a... map-maker... No, that ain’t right. I didn’t want to -make- them. Wanted to write them, if that makes any sense. Wait. I remember, cartographer. Memory must be slippin’ from me today.
23. As a child, what were your favorite activities?
Studying maps. Always loved the things. Got myself quite a collection these days.
24. As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display?
I was actually rather quiet. I grew out of that soon enough though!
25. As a child, were you popular? Â Who were your friends, and what were they like?
Weren’t many children around when I was a boy.
26. When and with whom was your first kiss?
*furrows his brow* I was... 12? 13? Time just slips away like that. I recall though, that it was with a whore named Miss Jennie. The crew made a big hub-bub about it all.
27. Are you a virgin? Â If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity?
Yer really askin’ that? Yeh must be daft. Or deaf. But if yer so curious, it were Miss Jennie that done the deed.
28. If you are a supernatural being (i.e. mage, werewolf, vampire), tell the story of how you became what you are or first learned of your own abilities. Â If you are just a normal human, describe any influences in your past that led you to do the things you do today.
Eh... Ain’t nothin’ magic ‘bout me. I... was apprenticed to a merchant ship as a boy. Then got traded off to a crew of privateers. Bounced around on the sea most of these long years. Got convinced to try a change of pace for a bit. So I’m givin’ the land a shot for a bit now.Â

89. Are you generally organized or messy?
Everything is where I need it to be. That is all that matter, yeah?
90. Name three things you consider yourself to be very good at, and three things you consider yourself to be very bad at.

Don’t think it’d really matter now would it? I’d be dead, wouldn’t much care.
98. What three words best describe your personality?
You tell me. Yeh probably know better than I after all this nonsense.
99. What three words would others probably use to describe you?
Hmm... Well, handsome, certainly. That almost goes without saying *chuckles*. Self-sufficient? And...  generous. Yeah. That’s what they would say. *a smirk forms on the man’s face*
100. If you could, what advice would you, the player, give to your character?  (You might even want to speak as if he or she were sitting right here in front of you, and use proper tone so he or she might heed your advice…)
Hmm... Probably that he shouldn’t treat others like are actual people, not mere things for him to use. In other words to not be a ******* (I’m sure you can fill in the blank!).
84. Describe the routine of a normal day for you. Â How do you feel when this routine is disrupted?
A normal day? Ain’t got any of those these days. Back on the sea there was a nice rhythm. Ain’t found that on land yet.

I always do exactly as I need to. No questions.
86. What is your greatest weakness?
*snort slightly* Ain’t tellin’ yeh.
87. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Nothin’. No regrets, remember?
88. Are you generally introverted or extroverted?
Bit of both. I like being with folks and I like bein’ alone. Though as I’ve gotten older I’ve found a greater fondness for my alone time.
89. Are you generally organized or messy?
Everything is where I need it to be. That is all that matter, yeah?

91. Do you like yourself?
Course. If I didn’t I’m sure I would have offed myself by now, don’t want to live all my life with someone I don’t like! *laughs loudly at the absurdity of the question*
92. What are your reasons for being an adventurer (or doing the strange and heroic things that RPG characters do)?  Are your real reasons for doing this different than the ones you tell people in public?  (If so, detail both sets of reasons…)
I’m an adventurer? I don’t think I’d call myself that. Though... I have had plenty of them in life.
93. What goal do you most want to accomplish in your lifetime?
Already accomplished it. I keep trekkin’ everyday still. Not much more to be done, yeah?
94. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Still full of vinegar, I hope.
95. If you could choose, how would you want to die?
I wouldn’t. Unless... Yeah. I’d like to die as I am now.Â

See my son. Have a nice lay. And ship out to sea. It’d be a good day.
97. What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered after your death?
