The main thing that I've been wrestling with since phase 3 is that from a distance, everything about her just appeared brown, brown, brown. Her hair was brown, her skin was brown, her eyes were dark yellow (which appeared nearly brown), and her lips were ashy brown. So, I tweaked each of those things a bit to give her some more color.Funny that you say that. I mean, considering my character is essentially nothing but three colors - black, brown, and yellow. And a bit of pink in the makeup, I guess. All the same, I'm pretty happy her with being 'plain' color-wise.

Edit: Looking at it a bit more, I think the problem is that your character all tends towards the same 'middle' values (as compared to my character who varies between black hair, dark brown eyes, and light-yellow skin), which can look a bit boring. Looks better now with the brighter hair, but it's not very often that I think the colors are the problem as much as the range of values. Try to have some contrast somewhere and generally you won't have issues. On the other hand, maybe having a character that doesn't stand out can be a boon, as well...
