Looking at the dictionary I can totally see which words Fernhawles came up with. Iron ---> Iyrn, Sword ---> Swerd, hahahaha xD. I see a few words that have stayed completely German: Dog ---> Hund, Steel---> Stahl. I have no idea how they got Holsk from Fast though . I need Fernhawles email to see what kind of patterns he used lol.Â
You are probably dead on with the whole mother thing. He added an r at the end of Hund to make Hundr, though it was in parentheses, and seems to follow this rule with a few different words.
