You are absolutely correct. "Technically" it is 1577, but they divide their era's up. It's kind of like the Mayan calender. Once the calender comes to end it just resets and starts all over again. So it really is year 5 as its just a resetting of the calender which signifies the beginning of a new era. I actually edited my post and you may have not had the chance to check out the explanation ^^. Edit: Thanks for the history chart Merri. That one is much better...And...WHAT?!?! Shatotto!
