I think the VAST majority of players want to be immersed in the game. Â Even if they've not been roleplayers, or are uncomfortable with what they've heard of roleplayers, they will at least enjoy using emotes and entering into some witty in-character banter.
I can't tell you how many times I've "/cheer"ed after a guildhest or "/congratulate" when someone gets a loot drop, only to see the other members of the party reply with their own emotes. Â Sure that's not full-fledged roleplaying, but it is immersive and in-character, and that's how we build a strong community.
Does anyone else have similar stories?
