That being said...why would any class with a physical component be included in a black mage job is beyond me....
I think they did that purely out of a gameplay point of view, not something that makes much sense lorewise/RP-wise
It's likely because archer was thought to be valuable for black mages. They have cross class abbilities that come in use for the black mage, so they made it the standard.
