I mean no one is forced to RP with the RPC, but it's the only group anyone in general knows about and has a near monopoly on it. The other large role play community has since dispersed with 1.0.
That aside at least with how RPC has done it we are a bit more integrated with the general community.
That's exactly how it is. We might be gathered in groups but that's because you need a group to be a community. What we aren't doing is segregating ourselves into our own clubhouse with a sign that says "RPers Enter Here". We have the opportunity to integrate ourselves into the community and, from the perspective of SE and the other players, if we wanted or needed to expand to a third server (like some are doing), we would be free to do so.
