So this is definitely a much bigger issue than I initially assumed - there's literally hundreds of players on each server doing it and the time window to reliably log on has been reduced in size significantly. I'm not mad at Square Enix, though - I'm sure they're doing all they can to help remedy the situation and that they're equally as frustrated as those of us who cannot get online.
Someone told me that in FFXI, it was necessary to stay logged in as much as possible. Â It may be that those players are old FFXI players and that's why they're staying logged in 100% of the time.

As long as you're moving around, a long dungeon queue shouldn't be an issue. Â You need to stay close enough to your computer to take it anyway.
