Welcome! I've never played 11 myself, and though Tera looked really interesting I never did get a chance to try that either, but I hear that 14 is really only like 11 in the basic race department. The Mithra = Miqo'te, thing, and so on.
The lore is pretty fun to learn though I, personally, am having some issues remembering all the names.
