Are you mistaken? I bought both from the quartermaster today and they were completely different.
It's possible, but I thought it definitely said "Immortal Flames Barding" When I swapped it out for my Behemoth Barding. I'd check if I could to make sure, but the time, she is bad!

I edited my last post with a picture but the default barding is named similar to the one that cost 6,000 seals as I recall.
