The backstory I had drafted for Rinh involved her growing up in the Shroud with her family and an undisclosed number (1-3 I would think) of other small families, living together as a clan. I never specified the exact number or the names so linking with your character's family and possible one or two others is definitely possible. But if you want to make the connections now, rather than have them be remnants of the past, that might be a bit harder for me to get it to make sense for Rinh's personality.
