From looking at your character description, it's possible you may fit in with Echo Knights, their motive seems to be to protect the weak, my alt is in their linkshell (she's on the path to becoming a Paladin).
I run Pirates of a Wayward Star, not sure if it's the kind of thing that tickles your fancy, whilst we are lawless, we are on the side of good, a Paladin or White Mage can work in our roleplay, even the holy kind. We already have a Paladin and a White Mage in our FC an they're compatible. It would depend entirely on the character's perception of the law. A bit of history, Wayward Star was originally run by a corrupt pirate captain, who preyed on the weak and hopeless, taking advantage of their bad situation to exploit them to further his riches, he was a notorious loan shark and Saef was a part of that business, but he hate it, when his captain drew the line he performed a mutiny and led a much more idealistic form of piracy, more about targeting the corrupt and defending the underdog. Sadly his old crew died in a Sahagin attack and Saefinn has taken on a new crew, who seem to share in some of his naive idealism - they mostly seek to do good, but live by criminal activities to achieve their goals, mainly smuggling goods. Currently we're sourcing weapons illegally from Ul'dah to Little Ala Mhigo in exchange for labour and are currently brokering narcotics to soldiers in Ishgard to help with their nerves. We also have planned a Masquerade Ball, to...well, that's a surprise.
If that doesn't suit your character, Echo Knights seem to share similar values, but are more lawful and seem like a suitable spot for somebody of a military background.Â
Maybe one of their less recent members might be able to fill you in.Â
Hope this helps.
