Whew. But in all seriousness, the cutoff for shrugging and re-rolling is different for everyone. Me personally, sometimes I'll make a RP character, decide after 30 levels or so that I just don't like him/her, and roll a new one, but if I like the OOC play style of that character's class I might keep them around and still play them from time to time anyway. I have a Death Knight in WoW that was started as a RP toon and is now used for just playing a Death Knight because they're fun to play.Â
TL;DR Do what feels right, man. It's your character, and your story.
