I dont think it's really that big of a deal, him mentioning that you should switch to Japanese... I don't think it should have been #1, but it's nothing to get worked up over (if anyone is).
If this game had been Russian, German, French or whathaveyou in it's native language, I would have switch the voice-overs to that language because I like listening to games in their original language as long as it doesnt force me to read the game text in said language as well. lol
I'm not fluent in Japanese, but I do understand bits and pieces and I like figuring out where one word stops and another begins too. Do I think that the Japanese vo's sound better? Some of them yes, others no.
