I last played in GW2 as well. Didn't find much of an RP community there.
A LOT of RPers seem to be shy. I am kinda shy myself. It is hilariously frustrating when you have a bunch of RPers running around who are too shy to start RP with each other.
I must say, you are brave to share the fact that you are a male who Role Plays female characters. I wonder how many other Role Played female characters out there are actually male players as well? This game is definitely good if you want to make a female character. You are pretty much guaranteed to make eye-candy LOL.
Also, the wiki is a good place to research the lore. I recommend you do so because this game has a lot of deep, interwoven lore and history. At least consider learning the lore of the race you choose your character to be.
You might be tempted to make a Miqo'te because they are, well, awesome! However, be warned that there are loads of Miqo'te already out there, and there are a lot of females. Not that I am complaining; the more the merrier XD. I am just saying you should do what you can to make yours unique-looking.
