Among all the Miqo'tes who noticed the long awaited return of the expedition team, there was K'mih. That day, she'd been granted some free time after helping her mother with some chores, and thus she was found playing hide and seek with other younglings by the time K'luha arrived. Perhaps the situation her tribe was going through wasn't the best, but she'd always find moments to play with her half siblings as if nothing was actually wrong; it helped her forget about all the troubles.
"K'luha's back!" Was one the young Miqo'tes' voice, the word quickly spreading through the camp. Like many others, K'mih stopped what she was doing and ran to greet her family, with both a bright smile and a hopeful heart that echoed her siblings'. It felt like it'd been so long from the time the small team left to search for new lands, a new home where trouble wouldn't follow them. Such good news were what everyone was expecting to hear.
When K'mih found them, however, confusion clouded her smile. Something was wrong. She didn't want to worry or think negatively yet, but something was strangely uncomfortable. K'luha seemed hurt, and there was no sight of neither her sister K'ailia nor K'ile, no matter how many glances she took. Something else caught her attention in her search, though; bicolour eyes locked themselves to the unfamiliar figure of a Miqo'te that seemed to be around her age, staring at her with undying curiosity.
She didn't even have to ask, for eager questions quickly arose from the surrounding Miqo'tes. "Did you find anything?", "Where's K'ile?", "Where's K'ailia?", "Who's this?". None of them seemed to wait for an answer before throwing the next question to the just arrived explorers. The waiting had been long and there were many things they needed to know. K'mih waited patiently, her attention back to K'luha and K'haali for a moment.
