Seems rude to invite people into RP then go "WE aren't telling you what's going on lalala". Like... I'd certainly be expected to to be let in on stuff if they invited me. If you can't give people context at that time, at least send them a tell letting them know "Hey, my character just can't break away from this train of thought, gimme a minute" or something.
