Lalafell would be a difficult choice because of the almost instant "dawwwww" effect they have on most people. If you can pull off a serious Lalafell then I think you'll have a lot of fun with it. I personally repress my "dawwwwww" reaction when IC, so you'll never get instant tacklehugs from Kiht Jakkya. Its just not her style.
Your female Highlander sounds awesome, and may have some personality similarities to my Kiht. I can see how you might think Una Darkstar as a name is a bit over the top?
If you want to stick with it, I don't see a real problem. It sounds kinda highlander, and you could always play it off as a sort of nickname.
Unfortunately, I believe the phial of fantasia does NOT allow a name change. You'll be able to change anything but the name...
I am not absolutely certain of that, but you should look it up soon if you want to consider progressing your character.
