I'm not sure if I'll be able to help you with the first part of your question (the use of lalafell for child hyur), but since Fantasia is mostly use IC, you could do "made that effect" one hell of side effect for your poor lalafell to be turn into a 20 years hyur, sure that may work.
For the conjurer lore, I can't help since I don't have any knowledge on it. Maybe someone on the forum will be able to tell you, but from I heard, the elemental guide and help the White Mage (conjurer) so it should work...I guess.
