The fastest planets in our solar system are actually the biggest. The fastest rotating planet we know of is Jupiter which is also the largest. A full rotation is about 9~ hours. Unless Eorzea is ten times bigger than Jupiter it would not have the gravity to support such a fast rotation speed.  Because Jupiter is so fast, it has changed the very shape of its planet, causing it to be slightly oblong instead of spherical.
