Yeah, I had a lot of fun in FFXI, but even then I had a hard time doing anything AND holding down a career. Now my career's ramping up, I'm married, and it's only a short matter of time before I'm a dad. I can't imagine ever playing another old school MMO ever again. The kind that requires groups that take an hour just to get started, and three more if you want to progress through anything.
I'm glad they exist, and they can be a lot of fun if you have the time to play them, but I look at these games like the weekend long D&D sessions I used to do every weekend. The kind of fun you get to have when you don't have as many obligations in life.
