Just because your not "on" 24/7 doesn't mean Roleplay is scripted. Aside from GM plots, all interactions with my character are completely organic and not planned out. I actually think you'll find that about most FCs. The most scripting that goes into a lot of rp is "Wanna go to the bar and RP?" for most everyone on this server.
I'm a HUGE beleiver that Armi is not me. At all. She doesn't act like me, she doesn't think like me. She isn't me. But I'm not her everytime I log into the game, either, but that doesn't make my interactions less organic.
